Yummies in a Jar is the creative inspiration of Lynn Murden who started her business in 1992. Located in Baysville, Ontario Lynn had a dream to start a cottage industry amidst the splendour of Muskoka. Lynn & her team create flavour forward gourmet products in small, hand made batches using local ingredients whenever possible. We not only love Yummies for their great taste & flavour profiles but also because we share similar values & a similar path. Namely, female led, the love for incorporating local ingredients, and a grassroots history of earning our keep through local area farmer's markets. Next time you are in the cafe, be sure to stop by our retail store to check out this delicious, high quality food products that can help take your own food journey at home that much tastier!
We consider ourselves lucky to have Aquatic Growers supplying the café, and now our retail store, with the freshest, tastiest, organic greens around! If you've ever enjoyed a salad at the café, chances are that you've eaten greens from Aquatic Growers.
Not only do greens from Aquatic Growers taste amazing, they last for weeks in your fridge. Seriously. Expertly grown, cared for, & harvested for by Scott, I was amazed to see how long his product will last while looking & tasting amazing.
Forget store bought mass produced greens that have travelled through more countries than I have. Yes, up front this product might cost more than what you are currently purchasing from the grocery store. However, let's think of it's value to you. It is locally produced, organic, nutritious, delicious, & will still be ready to eat long after cheaper grocery store greens are a liquid mess in your fridge.
Growing naturally the way nature intended. We will be stocking these greens in our retail fridge weekly for you & your family to enjoy at home.

As you all know we were super excited to have our new space next door to the café open by now.....
For those of you who have had the pleasure of throwing together a new business space or bravely had renovations done to your home, you know that construction process is exciting & not a lot of fun. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control, we have run into some snags (?) and the opening of our new space is delayed. The good news is that by the time our new space is open for you to enjoy you probably won't have to worry about wearing a winter jacket or having snow on your boots. So, fingers crossed & well wishes for us to be open spring of 2022. Stayed tuned.
As you may have already heard, we are expanding next door to our current location! We would like to sincerely thank our loyal customers for their support as none of this would be possible without you. We feel very fortunate that our little café is growing up & growing up through a pandemic!
The indispensable Alana Bell is joining the Eclectic ownership team and we couldn't be more excited. As most of you already know Alana, you can attest that the skills, ability, and personality she brings to Eclectic is essential to our success.
The new space is a necessity as we can no longer function in our current kitchen because of the demands of production for the café and catering. Two-thirds of the new space will be for food production while the front third of the store will be used for all takeout & catering pick-up, baked goods and food related retail products. To say we are super excited is an understatement! We'd love to give you a timeline for when the new space will be open but right now we can only estimate a January opening. As the construction/renovation process is super exciting we will keep you up to date with pics & progress reports.
Stay tuned & a sincere thank you Orillia.
As some of you may know, construction is a complicated process. Progress is being made so we thought we'd share a few photos. Check back soon for more!
